I picked one-dollar bills because during the pandemic, it was hard to use currency because of sanitary concerns and I wanted to take the challenge of using these bills as a way to express my commotion during that period of time. Adding famous Mexican figures to one-dollar bills is a concept I wanted to execute for a while since it shows many of my childhood figures and heritage into American currency. For instance, "Chente" was a famous Mexican singer who inspired many with his mariachi music.
